EMSAY @ York Presents: R.A.D.D

RUB-A-DUB-DUB was brought to you by the Electronic Music Society at York University and Winters college. Taking place on Friday January 14th, 2011 in Vanier college, this event shook the floorboards with hard-hitting bass and mangled the face of many overly satisfied students. The line-up of deejays was specifically chosen and voted by EMSAY, so of course we brought you ONLY the best at York University. To start the night off we had Dj Marshy on decks, then SiezVres Palace who tore up the dance floor with their lively electronic, dub-house set. Their energy was contagious to the audience and myself, and the more they hyped up, the more the crowd hyped up. By the time midnight rolled around, the crowd was wobbly (in a good way) with their ears half-full of grime and their stomachs splashed with liquor. It was perfect timing for Gilts debut.

Gilt mashin' up the floor at Rub-a-dub-dub (left) and artists photo of Gilt (right). Midnight was definitely a candidate for one of the best moments of the night as Rob a.k.a Gilt presented us with the newest bangerz, classic bangerz, and even if you didn't know the song, I guarantee you were still banging your head like a madman. Keep a lookout in the future for Gilt, and reach out to Dub Massive on January 20th at Suba Nightclub if you wish to see him spin! Playing dubstep, drumstep, drum n bass, electro, house, dub-house... and all that jazz ;) I need not to forget to mention that Gilt is also the one who created the eye-catching rub-a-dub-dub poster/flyer!

A perfect ending to the night was as a result of El shifta; the final deejay in the line-up for Rub-a-dub-dub. Dropping ear-gasmic bombs, this chick knows how to keep the crowd hyped with high energy. El shifta spun dubstep, drum n bass, breaks and drumstep, and like the audience, she bobbed her head and body to the therapeutic beats of the night. Overall, Rub-a-dub-dub was a huge success for EMSAY, and EMSAY would like to thank everyone who came out and supported! Look out in the near future for more updates and events brought to you by EMSAY in 2011!
