Nasca Records: Mindscape Release

Mindscape

A. Mindscape - Ultrasonik
B. Mindscape & Sleeper Cell - Epidemic
Label: Nasca Records
Cat #: NASCA010
Format: 12" Vinyl & Download
Released: 22nd August 2011

Ultrasonik spreads positive vibes all around with its danceable beat and beautifully produced synths. This tune is definitely meant to cause an explosion on the dance floor, causing the crowd to rinse maximum vibes and forget all the worries in the world. Unlike Epidemic, Mindscape achieved a utopian vibe that touches the hearts of every Drum and Bass fan.

B. Mindscape & Sleeper Cell - Epidemic[Listen on Soundcloud]

Heavy, hard-hitting and absolutely ruthless. Love the raw sounds of neurofunk/technoid DnB. Mindscape & Sleeper Cell created a dark atmosphere in Epidemic that steer's clear from anything even remotely close to the softer sounds of Ultrasonik. Tie up your laces, slip on your black bandana and rinse in the midst of the night in a dark room loaded with unlimited bass.

MATRIX & FUTUREBOUND IN TORONTO! 07/16/11

BOH! Two of Drum n Bass's biggest producers in the scene are hittin' the streets of Toronto this Saturday at Vola Nightclub. Anyone - and I mean anyone - who loves dnb should be making ways to this event. It's sure to overly satisfy that well-needed craving for quality drum n bass across the spectrum. I recently posted about the release of their AMAZING Worldwide 001 LP, so it's no surprise that the launch party in Toronto will live up to the expectations surrounding this anticipated night. I will also be interviewing Matrix & Futurebound when they touch down in Toronto, so keep a look out for that in the near future. Advance tickets are currently going for $25 and are selling quickly, so make sure you don't sleep on this chance - it's MATRIX & FUTUREBOUND after all! Hit up Vola this 16th July 2011 and you will not be disappointed.

4. Crucify Me 'Part 1 Dj edit' - ShockOne ft. Phetsta

If you haven't already been informed, ShockOne will be releasing his new debut album on Viper Recordings this upcoming autumn of 2011. As a little teaser and taste of what is to be expected from this album, ShockOne has a new up-coming single from the album titled 'Crucify Me' ft. Phetsta. On this release, there is both a dubstep and drum n bass version, so again, it surely tickles and teases the highs and lows that you all need and want from a good tune. The single is set to be released on the 27th of June 2011, but as of last night you can buy it a whole week prior to its release date exclusively from Viper Records! If your forte is drum n bass, then Crucify Me Part 1 will definitely pull you into an undisturbed trance full of body-swinging synths and head-banging drums. Crucify Me part 2 - the dubstep version - will have you bouncing with energy for the duration of its playful intro and then heavily slamming your feet into the cement with rage instantly after the drop pummels you with bass. Below is the official trailer for the 'Crucify Me' single for those of you who are waiting oh-so-patiently (unless you choose to purchase it before everyone else from Viper Recordings..cough*do it*cough).

Dr. Ozi

If you wish to be overly satisfied with a proper dosage of bass, then you must listen and take these massive uppers. The doctors and I have prescribed them, so you owe it to yourself to give 'em a listen for  a well-deserved boost. Recently, Dr. Ozi have been dropping some heavy bass-weight compositions onto their soundcloud and I was instantly captured when I listened to the first song I clicked titled "An Apple a Day'. These guys productions need to be heard. I definitely see a lot of potential in them going somewhere - and not just locally - very fast. They're mainly known for producing dubstep and drumstep, but more recently have ventured into the world drum n bass, and I must admit that it had captured my heart the moment I heard it. In the near future, I will be posting a brief biography of these two, but for now you can enjoy some free tunes from the doctors themselves and don't forget to take them 10 times a day, or more (overdose much?). You can easily download and listen to the rest of their tunes by following their 'Soundcloud' page linked below.

Brookes Brothers: In Your Eyes/The Big Blue

The sun is shining, the water is glistening, there isn't any other single better for summer-time listening.  The Brookes Brothers have two new tunes that scream beauty from the rooftops and hammer your body with bass. 'In Your Eyes' and 'The Big Blue' are set to be released on June 6th, 2011, as the final straw of anticipation towards their debut LP album that will be released the same day. Together, these feature a plethora of teeth-clenching bangers and melodically-composed productions as they soar though the colourful fields of drum n bass and flirt with the darkness of dubstep. Being the 3rd single before the album drops, 'The Big Blue' and 'In Your Eyes' are doing a successful job in pumping up the listeners for what is to follow. The dubstep track 'In Your Eyes' has, is, and continues to receive a massive amount of radio play amongst the UK radio stations with its chilled-out reggae vocal vibes of Johnny Osbourne. Not to mention, it was also recently play-listed on Radio 1. To hear the preview of the single, click the links below, and allow those summer vibes flowing in, settle and grow.

XILENT: 'Choose Me' EP

Make way for the young and talented. XILENT's new debut EP titled 'Choose Me' is set to be released June 6th, 2011 (vinyl) and May 30th, 2011 (digital release) after he recently signed with AudioPorn Records. This EP will be released as a 2-part vinyl and a 4-track digital release EP. 'Choose Me' covers a variety of genres from drum n bass to dubstep and even ventures into electro house, so all your personal music preferences are undoubtedly quenched. Although, I would like to specifically pinpoint the only dubstep track on the EP titled 'Choose Me II' as it has been receiving an astronomical amount of positive feedback since its preview was posted a couple weeks prior. It was first posted on Xilents soundcloud where it instantly gained 15, 000 + plays in just under a week and after the 'Choose Me II' debut on UKFdubstep's channel on youtube, it has gained an impressionable 650, 000+ views to-date and continues to rise daily. This tune, and the whole EP itself, is quickly stunning the charts and I can guarantee this is only the beginning of Xilent's rise to the infinite top, and it will not cease to stop at anything.  Below you will find a link to the Youtube video and Xilent's soundcloud as well as all the additional information regarding the 'Choose Me' EP that you will need to know.

Vinyl Release: 06.June.11
Vinyl Part 1: A. Choose Me II / AA. Choose Me I
Vinyl part 2: A. Spectre / AA. Multishapes

Digital Release (EP): 30.May.11
1. Choose Me II [dubstep]
2. Spectre [drum n bass]
3. Multishapes [drum n bass]
4. Choose Me I [electro house]

Now, I want to make it very clear that Choose Me II is not the only track currently gaining massive respect in the industry. Aside from 'Choose Me' (dubstep remix) being chosen as the 'Next Hype' on Zane Lowes Show,  his drum n bass tracks have been gaining recognition globally. Both 'Spectre' and 'Multishapes' have been, and are continually being featured and played on the Crissy Criss 1Xtra show and DJ Hype's Kiss FM show. I don't know about you, but I know that I can't sit still when injecting the hard-hitting drums of these two tracks into my body. His 'Choose Me' (electro-house remix) is also a personal favourite of mine as it instantly casts a feeling of euphoria and causes a plethora of emotional, physiological and psycho-physiogical responses, but of course all of the tracks have successfully done this. Whatever your taste in music may be, Xilent is sure to elicit your undivided attention and please what your ears have been feigning for. Now go ahead and treat yourself to the previews of 'Choose Me', 'Spectre' and 'Multishapes'. I promise that your mind, body and soul will not be disappointed as you find yourself at feeling at home with his smashing, memorable, and well-structured compositions.
